10 Dangerous Foods to avoid if you have High Blood Pressure

Hypertension also known as high blood pressure (HBP), is a long-term medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated. It is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risks of heart, brain, kidney and other diseases.
It is a major cause of premature death worldwide, and usually found in 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women around the low- and medium-income countries.
To mitigate the effects of hypertension, we have compiled the following foods which should be avoided at all cost.
1. Energy Drinks
Energy drinks contain a lot of caffeine which could skyrocket your blood pressure and take hours to calm. 
2. Pizza
This food contains a lot of sodium and carbohydrates because it's made of high concentration of cheese and salty tomato sauce. A slice of pizza goes a long way in skyrocketing your blood pressure.
3. Proceesed meats
Just like sausages, has high concentration of sodium and saturated fats. These nutrients should be avoided.

4. Noodles
Noodles are known to be easy-to-cook foods. One package of noodles contains approximately 14 grams of fat and a whopping 1,580 mg of sodium. Most of the sodium is contained by that tiny flavour packet that comes with it.
5. Alcohol
Alcohol erodes the wall of blood vessels, tightens them and causes blood pressure to rise.
6. Chicken skins
Chicken skins contain large doses of saturated fats in addition to the cooking oils and butter the skin absorbs when being prepared.

7. Donuts
If you have high blood pressure or just desire to be a healthy person, stay away from donuts. One ring of donut have up to 300 calories.
8. Canned Tomato
Each serving of canned tomato contains at least 800 mg of sodium. This large amount of sodium is used to give the can’s contents a longer shelf life.t
9. Whole Milk
Milk is a great source of calcium, but high-fat dairy sources, like whole milk, provides you more fat than you need. One cup serving of whole milk has about 8 grams of fat, 5 grams of which are saturated. Saturated fats are worse for you than other types and has been linked to heart disease.

10. Refined sugar
Refined sugar is a major cause of hypertension. It might be a hassle to steer away from sugar, but try to use alternative sweeteners like erythritol, saccharin or honey.
