Coronavirus update: Nigeria records its first death to coronavirus

A report made this morning according to the National Centre for Disease Control, Abuja has it that as at 10:35 a.m today, 23rd March, 2020,
Nigeria has 5 new confirmed cases reported and recorded its first death from coronavirus. The following is the breakdown of the total confirmed cases, active cases, total already discharged and total number of death.
Total confirmed cases: 36
Active cases: 33
Total discharged: 2
Total deaths: 1
The first Covid-19 death in Nigeria was a 67 year old male who returned home from the United Kingdom after a medical treatment. He was known to have suffered from underlying medical conditions of multiple myeloma and diabetes and was undergoing chemotherapy.
