Natural Ways to Eradicate Snakes and Scorpions in your Surroundings

Snakes
Snakes are venomous reptiles if bitten can lead to death. They feed mainly on rodents. They can enter residential area searching for cooler place and their preys. They usually stay in burrows abandoned by rodents and dark places.
Natural Preventive & Control Measures of Snakes
1. Onion, Garlic and Salt
Take five onion or garlic or a mixture of the two. Make paste out of it and then mix it with some salt. Sprinkle it in those areas where you suspect snakes can come from.
2. Pets
Dogs and cats are natural enemies of snakes. They can help to repel snakes from your house. They attack snake the moment they sense it around the house in other to protect themselves and their owner. Snakes of any size will naturally want to avoid these pets.
3. Use of Tiles
Tiles floor are slippery and so it makes it difficult for snakes to move on it. Tiles are life threatening to snakes as they won’t be able to run away if they feel threatened.
4. Practice good hygiene
In times like rainy season, snakes can come out and roam around for food and eventually enter your house. So, you need to practice good hygiene by clearing surrounding bushes and get rid of garbage on daily basis.
5. Use of sharp objects
Sharp objects can be like broken glass, eggshells can stop their movement. They object can slow down their movement or can cause harm to their scale as a result. With these sharp objects, snakes will try to move away from your house because it can become too risky for them.
6. Snake repellent plants
Plants like Marigold, garlic, lemongrass are natural snake repellent. Planting this plants in your garden will stop snakes from entering your garden. The strong smell and bitter taste of this plants act as a catalyst to repel snakes.
7. Cover toilet seats
Snakes have gained entrance into many houses through the toilet. So, the most important things is to cover your toilets properly.
8. Ensure clean drainage
Snakes can travel through drains if they are not clean and is filled with stagnant water. Snakes can easily reach your house because they move fast in water especially if it is close to your house. For this reason, make sure your drainage is always clean for your safety.
Scorpions
Scorpions are arachnids that possess eight legs. Scorpions live in very dry climates. Despite this, they are very sensitive to the loss of moisture from their body. They must drink water and they hide during the day in shady burrows. They are nocturnal animals(active at night) and feed mainly on other insects. They can enter residential areas searching for cooler place. Scorpion are venomous if bitten can lead to death. It affects the nervous system of victim.
Natural Preventive & Control Measures of Scorpions
1. Keep your home and garden dry
Scorpions love to thrive in moist and cool places. Eliminating moisture from your home can be useful in keeping them away as they will not find a suitable place to hide.
2. Other insects control
Scorpions feed on other tiny insects, by controlling these insects this will help to control the scorpions as well.
3. Seal all cracks and crevices
You may not be even be aware of these cracks and crevices but even small crack or crevice is good enough to allow them to enter your house. Seal them off and make sure that the door and window seals are tightened. 
4. Proper Sanitation
Get rid of all debris in your compound. Removing rocks, wood piles, loose boards and old tyres can discourage scorpions.
5. Neem oil
Neem oil is another herbal insecticide used to deal with a number of insects and pests.
