It is a known fact that the recent outbreak of the pandemic disease, Coronavirus also referred to as COVID-19 has attacked many countries in the world. According to worldometers, a total of 168,866 cases of Coronavirus has been reported of which 6,492 are reported dead and 76,598 have recovered. While China is known to top the list as total reported cases tolls 80,874 with 3,209 deaths and 2,335 recovered, there were only two reported cases in Nigeria so far of which one has been reported to test negative. In Ghana, there have been 10 reported cases and no casualty reported yet. The National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) created by the Federal Government in 2016 for poverty alleviation and job creation especially the Npower which has empowered over 500,000 youths in various arms of the programme. The programmes under Npower include Npower Teach, Npower Health, Npower Agro, Npower Build, Npower Tech and Npower Creative all of which give the beneficiaries monthly stipends for their upkeep.
